§ 29-20. Automatic aid agreements, mutual aid agreements and civil defense cooperation.

  • (a)

    The chief of the fire department may enter into mutual assistance agreements with the chiefs of the fire departments of such other cities for the purpose of planning in advance what men and equipment of each department will be made mutually available under the authority of the K.S.A. 12-111 upon the occurrence of any emergency.

    (b) The chief of the fire department is hereby authorized and directed to cooperate with any state, district or local civil defense agency for the purpose of coordinating his mutual assistance agreement with the overall planning of civilian defenses.

    (c)

    The chief of the fire department is hereby authorized and directed to cooperate with all agencies who have signed an automatic aid agreement.
