§ 14-207. Auctioneers.

  • (a)

    Auctioneers conducting on site auctions from a permanent auction house or other permanent place of business properly zoned in the city shall pay the fee set forth in the fee schedule maintained by the city.

    (b)

    Auctioneers conducting auctions off of the site of the permanent place of business of the auctioneer shall pay the fee set forth in the fee schedule maintained by the city. In addition, the following conditions to the license shall apply:

    (1)

    In the event the auction is held in or within 250 feet of a residential zoning district, all owners of real property within 250 feet of the site of the auction and the police department of the city shall be notified in writing by the auctioneer of the date, time and place of the auction at least ten days prior to the date of the auction.

    (2)

    No goods, merchandise or other personal property shall be brought or delivered to the site of the auction from greater than 250 feet from the site of the auction. The foregoing will also apply to pictures, depictions, descriptions, or displays of goods, merchandise or other personal property located outside of such 250 feet area.
